Read first: required to run games

Installing the app and running games are separate steps. XeniOS can install successfully but games will not start until JIT is enabled.

Install path: Use SideStore for the current documented iPhone and iPad install flow.
JIT: Enable JIT with StikDebug. Depending on your iOS / iPadOS version and device, you may also need LocalDevVPN. Current public guidance covers normal StikDebug flows on 17.4-18.x, older 17.0-17.3 setups that may need alternatives such as SideJITServer, and iOS 26 setups that are more version- and device-sensitive. Check the latest SideStore JIT guide before troubleshooting.
Script assignment: In StikDebug, assign the bundled Amethyst-MeloNX.js or universal.js script to XeniOS. If you do not see either script, update from StikDebug releases or download universal.js directly. Check the StikDebug repo for more information.
Touch controls supported: Use the built-in touch controls for gameplay, or connect a supported external controller.

XeniOS is still alpha software. Expect crashes, rough edges, and title-specific problems. Xbox 360 emulation is very demanding on iOS, and the latest iPhone and iPad hardware has the best chance of playable performance. Do not expect a polished or fully stable experience yet, even if installation succeeds.

Check the tested baseline and hardware expectations first so you do not troubleshoot an unvalidated setup as if it were a supported one.

iOS / iPadOS 18.0

Older versions may work, but they are currently untested.

Best Supported Hardware

Latest Apple silicon

A16-class is the lowest tested baseline. Newer iPhone and iPad hardware has the best chance of playable performance.

Installing the app is not enough by itself. Games need StikDebug, and some setups also need LocalDevVPN.

SideStore

SideStore is the current documented public install path for XeniOS on iPhone and iPad. On free Apple IDs, the app still needs to be refreshed every 7 days.

1Install SideStore on your device.
2Download the .ipa from the latest release card above or open the current direct download, then open it with SideStore to install.
3Trust the developer certificate in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
4Complete JIT setup (see the “Read first” box above), pair a controller, then launch a game.

Notes

Allow extra free space beyond the app itself for game files, caches, and updates.
Older iOS versions and older chips may work, but they are currently untested and should not be treated as validated yet.
LiveContainer is currently untested on iOS 26, though users have reported it working on iOS 18. Use it at your own risk. If you try it, expect to need the com.apple.developer.kernel.increased-memory-limit entitlement when signing it. The documented baseline remains normal IPA sideloading.
No games are included. You must dump games from Xbox 360 discs or digital purchases that you legally own.
